      Guru is celebrating Woodstock's 50th Anniversary.  We play many of the songs and other music by the bands that made Woodstock famous!                                 

                                           guru  is:

guru is composed of experienced studio and live performance musicians based out of the Erie, Pa area. They have performed for many years on the north coast as well as across the U.S.A.  guru delivers rock, soul, and blues.  Performing popular songs by the James Gang, Jethro Tull, Hendrix, Cream, the Doors, Steppenwolf, Stevie Ray Vaughn, Santana, and much more. 

guru music spans from contemporary rock, jazz, and blues music of today and includes many Woodstock era songs.

 

Guru can also perform acoustically for more intimate affairs. All combined, the group brings a lively, interactive performance to any event.

Tim McLaughlin has been delighting audiences for years with his guitar antics. He also rounds out the band by adding vocals, slide guitar, Irish tinwhistle (flute), and amplified blues harmonica. Former bands include Tennessee Backporch, The BluesBeaters, Hit and Run,  the McLaughlin Party Band, Greg Garing Band, Marty O'Connor Band, and Quill Eller.

 

Bob Rapheal adds his electrifying 5 string bass interpretations to classic and original tunes.  He is a performer, composer, and a large influence on bay area musicians.  He is intuitively melodic, syncopated and fun to watch.  Former bands also include 25 or 64, Hiway Starr, as well as many others.

 

Tim Driscoll provides solid percussion and vocals.  His fiery passion for drums was alive at an early age. Tim is considered one of the top drumsmiths on the north coast.  Bands he's performed in include Stiletto, Greg Garing Band, Marty O'Connor Band and many more.

 

Scott Kuhn on keyboards is a new member of guru.  He dishes up classic sounds featuring Fender Rhodes piano and Hammond B3.
